TIENS started in Hungary in August 2000 and has expanded to 14 other European countries: Greece, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Italy, Cyprus, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Germany and France.

The growth of the Europe Region created the need to establish a company responsible for creating a consistent business strategy. TIENS Europe GmbH was created in 2006, with its headquarters in Berlin, to provide logistics, finance, human resources, IT, sales and marketing support to the European TIENS subsidiaries.

Europe is characterized by a diversity of cultures, laws, governmental systems and languages. This diversity makes the region an extraordinary, unique and challenging market in which the success of a business depends on meeting the variety of needs and that people from these different countries have.

In Europe since the beginning of the twenty first century, traditional Chinese medicine has become the most beloved alternative to Western medicine, because of its holistic approach when addressing imbalances. Illnesses of the industrial times have significantly decreased thanks to improved hygiene, medical prevention and therapy. However, present day life styles, behaviours and environmental factors have given way to new illnesses for which the methods of the Western medicine are not the most appropriate.

This increases the demand in the European market for TIENS products, which are based on the yin and yang philosophy and provide the Western consumer with a year-long program that cleanses, replenishes, strengthens and balances the body, mind and spirit.

With over 100 employees in the Europe Region, TIENS is prepared to face the challenges of a complex and diverse market of more than 370 million people.

Since December 2006, the Europe Region is also responsible for North America. The USA is particularly interesting for TIENS because direct selling marketing started in the U.S. as a revolutionary business model. In North America TIENS has developed more than 50 products for the food supplement, skincare and cosmetics markets, which have passed ISO9001: 2000 and homologated by FDA of USA and Canada. With its advanced biological technology and professional management, the Europe & North America Region is a great potential market to fully developed.
