On the evening of Jan. 21, the
welcoming ceremony of the 2004 Tiens (Malaysia) International
Annual Convention was held in the Sunway Lagoon of Kuala Lumpur,
and the diversiform performance and lively atmosphere made the
attendees of Tiens forget to return from the ceremony.
Since 2:00 pm, the Tiens People from all over the world entered
Sunway Lagoon in succession to play with water.
At dusk, the singing and dancing performance
with a Southeast Asian flavor started. This is a welcoming present,
carefully arranged by the Convention Committee, for the Tiens
People from all over the world. All programs of the performance
were colorful and wonderful, including lion dance, musical instrument
performance, kid shows, and so on.
At about 20:30, Tiens President Li Jinyuan,
Mr. Y. B Dato Leo Michael Toyad, Minister of Malaysian Culture
& Tourism, Dr. Mustapha, Chairman of directorate in Tiens
Malaysia, and Mr. Li Lin, General Manager of Tiens Southeast
Asian Region, pushed a switch together to fire a golden sparkle
belt on the air, and a banner with the spelling of “Development,
advancement, and shipping the future”, the Theme of the convention,
were waving in the wind.
After that, gorgeous firework was set off to
brighten the night sky, and brighten the eyes of Tiens People
as well. And then a storm of applause pushed the welcoming ceremony
into its climax.
