The Overview of Tianshi College in Tianjin, China

Tianshi College in Tianjin, China was established in 1999, and upgraded to a full-time private undergraduate college in Tianjin with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2008. Founded and funded by Tiens Group, the College is located in Wuqing District, Tianjin, China. Covering an area of about 3.2 square kilometers (almost the size of Central Park in New York), it has a planned construction area of 2.1 million square meters, and a capacity of over 42,600 students. The College is primarily focused on undergraduate education, while also developing vocational education. Its goal is to create a new pattern of professional development that is led by emerging engineering disciplines and coordinated across multiple disciplines and majors.

Tianshi College's philosophy is founded upon the principles of excellence in undergraduate majors and curriculum construction, with the support of highly-qualified teaching staff. The College is at the forefront of training innovation, constantly evolving to meet the changing economic and social needs of the world. Professional discipline construction
The College primarily focuses on undergraduate education, while also developing vocational education, and actively engaging in international exchanges. Guided by social needs and taking emerging engineering disciplines as the key, the college develops multiple disciplines including medicine, economics, management, literature, and art. This is done with the aim of establishing major industries in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei industrial area.
Strong teaching staff
The College currently has nearly 600 full-time teachers, including over 110 teachers with senior titles, over 300 teachers with doctorates or master's degrees, over 60 teachers with industry qualifications and engineering backgrounds, and 70 practical instructors from enterprises and institutions. Furthermore, the College has engaged several Nobel Prize laureates as well as academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering as academic consultants.
Optimize teaching
The College is working to improve teaching effectiveness and has developed innovative mechanisms for student talent development. Furthermore it is seeking to identify ways to assist students in key majors. To enhance the quality of teaching, the College is also striving to make teaching more student-focused. International Exchange and Cooperation

On June 6th, 2023, former Colombian President Andrés Pastrana Arango and Chairman Li Jinyuan jointly planted the "Tree of Friendship and Peace" at Tianshi College in Tianjin

The inauguration of a brand-new university

On July 22, 2015, the construction of the new campus commenced with the laying of the first foundation. This will provided modern educational facilities and play a pivotal role in the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration" strategy. This marks a new chapter in the educational sector for the development of Beijing and Tianjin as twin cities.
