TIENS Group Chairman Li Jinyuan Arrives in Korea for the Boao Forum for Asia Seoul Conference

November 20, 2018 – The Boao Forum for Asia Seoul Conference, with a theme of “An Open and Innovative Asia”, focused on topics such as world economic and regional collaboration, technological innovation, and inclusive growth. The conference is also the largest international conference hosted by Boao Forum for Asia thus far. TIENS Group Chairman, Li Jinyuan, was one of the invited guests representing Chinese multinational corporations to participate in the conference. Asian leaders, business representatives, academic leaders, and people from all walks of life attended the conference to deepen dialog on important international issues, such as regional economic collaboration, economic globalization, and the rise of protectionism revolving around the “Belt and Road” initiative. The goal is to actively seek the most suitable collaboration opportunities and roads for the future development of the Asia-Pacific and the world.

Sub-forum on "World Economy and Regional Collaboration"

Chairman Li Jinyuan told the participating Asia-Pacific leaders in the “World Economic and Regional Cooperation” sub-forum held on the morning of the 20th that TIENS Group has developed a “one body, multiple wings” global strategy based on 24 years of experience and took the opportunity to develop and innovate for its unique global perspective. Chairman Li Jinyuan pointed out that globalization requires new ideas. Economic globalization requires not only the interconnection of infrastructure, but also the coordination of macroeconomic policy, trade liberalization, investment facilitation, and interaction between countries. Chairman Li Jinyuan believes that the inclusiveness and innovation advocated by the Chinese government's reform and opening up policy have pointed out the direction for the globalization of Chinese enterprises and laid the foundation for trade liberalization. Chairman Li Jinyuan also mentioned that TIENS Group follows in the spirit of the “Belt and Road” initiative and deepened regional economic collaboration. Through the successful development of the business, it vigorously promoted local development and earned respect for Chinese brands in overseas markets.

The Boao Forum for Asia Seoul Conference is the largest overseas international conference hosted by Boao Forum for Asia, including South Korean Deputy Prime Minister Kim Dong-yeon, Boao Forum for Asia Chairman Ban Ki-moon, Boao Forum for Asia Secretary Li Baodong, and about 800 government officials and business leaders including Huh Chang-soo, Chairman of Federation of Korean Industries, attended the meeting.

Li Baodong, Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference. On behalf of the Boao Forum for Asia, he thanked the Chinese and Korean governments and people from all walks of life for their support of this meeting and welcomed the guests. Asia has become the most dynamic and potential-filled region in the world. Northeast Asia has become increasingly important in Asia and the world. It is expected that the conference will propose more valuable Boao and Asian programs for Asia. Collaboration and economic development in and outside the region bring more opportunities.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, Ban Ki-moon, said that the world today still faces complex challenges and uncertainties.
